Who we are
The Wataneh initiative is developed and implemented
on a national level by the Lebanese NGO arcenciel. Its
main objective is to develop and foster the Lebanese
agriculture sector and bring social and economic
support to all its stakeholders and beneficiaries.
Wataneh strives for values and objectives that include

HOW WE OPERATE
Wataneh operates in a manner that aims to satisfy
all social ranks of society. It works on growing
guaranteed healthy fruits, vegetables and food
produce, in an environment-friendly manner and
according to sustainable and good agriculture
practices.
The Wataneh value chain begins with the
producer and ends with the consumer. As a first
step, "Wataneh" engineers contact farmers and
food processors and offer them solutions to their
agricultural demands.
Solutions may include
upgrading farming systems, extension services,
machinery services, training sessions, quality
control, laboratory tests, tasting panels, and other,
all of which are provided at Wataneh's Service
Centers. Thereafter, produce is transported to
Wataneh's Distribution Center where it is
controlled, graded and sorted. "Wataneh" produce
is then marketed at fair prices in a network of
Wataneh Shops.
Our partners
Wataneh's main partners are Lebanese Farmers and Agro-Processors, as well as a selection of Local Grocery Shops, all of whom strive to abide by Wataneh's values.
